The Office of Faculty & Staff Affirmative Action at UCR provides comprehensive services to the campus, monitoring the recruitment and selection of faculty and addressing questions and concerns regarding equal employment opportunity and affirmative action in employment. The Office strives to eliminate inappropriate barriers in accordance with Federal and State laws, as well as University policies. The UCR Office of the Ombudsperson is an independent and confidential resource for conflict resolution. The Ombudsperson serves the entire campus community - students, staff, faculty, applicants, parents, administrators - by helping to resolve complaints, by providing information and referrals, and by making recommendations for constructive change. The Ombudsperson's role is to ensure that all members of the university community receive fair treatment within the university system. The person assists in the informal resolution of any university-related complaint or conflict, considering all sides of a question in an impartial or objective way.

The UC Diversity Educators (UCDE) is a group of diversity professionals from all UC locations who began meeting in 2005. UCDE’s vision is to enrich the diversity education programs of UC campuses, medical centers, and laboratories, and to strengthen its ability to advocate for diversity education and training as a way to promote equality and inclusion.
