Diversity Activities

Services for Students with Disabilities

Through partnerships with students, faculty, and staff, we work to promote the independence, self-advocacy, and development of students with disabilities.  We:

  • Provide and coordinate appropriate academic accommodations and related services to meet the individual disability-related needs of matriculated UC Riverside students.
  • Provide technical assistance to university departments, including assistance in identifying accommodations and responding to requests for services on a case-by-case basis.

Veterans Affairs

  • Provide counseling and program information, and certify eligible students to receive VA Education Benefits.
  • Administer programs and monitor student enrollment in compliance with applicable Federal and State regulations.
  • Work in cooperation with other University departments to ensure that students are not disadvantaged by their receipt of benefits, and advocate for their special needs, where appropriate.
  • Maintain productive relationships with the US Department of Veterans Affairs and other agencies serving veterans and servicepersons.
