Diversity Activities
- Student diversity activities include recruiting fellowships that enhance student diversity in both our undergraduate and graduate student programs.
- Faculty recruiting efforts include assessment of minority candidates when forming interview lists.
Future Diversity Activities
Identification of minority postdoctoral fellowship recipients to provide a pool for proactive outreach contacts for underrepresented faculty job applicants.
- 3 female chemistry faculty (2 hired since 2005)
- 50% female graduate student population
- 50% female undergraduate chemistry majors
- sponsorship of various extramural minority fellowships for qualified students
