The Diversity Activity Questionnaire inventories the diversity-oriented programs, services, projects, and initiatives at UCR. Administered in April 2007 to staff in the various campus divisions, the questionnaire yields related descriptive and summative data for use by the campus and broader community. As a microcosm of the nation, and one of the nation’s most diverse campuses, the University is steadily challenged by pluralism in its multitude. According to a US Census Bureau projection for 1990-2030, the Latino/Hispanic population should grow by 187 percent; the Asian-American. Pacific Island-American, and Native American populations should grow by 79 percent; and the African-American population should increase by 68 percent. By 2080, in addition, the Population Reference Bureau’s trajectory indicates the country may likely be 24 percent Latino, 15 percent African-American, and 12 percent Asian American. By way of the questionnaire, therefore, the campus is engendered to show and springboard its wealth of diversity offerings. Those current and proposed offerings follow:
