The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research supports and promotes the research mission of the University of California Riverside.  The Research Office comprises five units that include the Office of Sponsored Programs Administration, the Office of Research Integrity, the Office of Technology Commercialization, the Office of Research Development, and the Campus Veterinarian.  The Vice Chancellor for Research administers several research compliance committees that include the Institutional Review Board, the Institutional Animal Care & Use Committee, the Biosafety Committee, the Embryonic Stem Cell Oversight Committee, and the Conflict of Interest Committee.  The Office of Research is also responsible for the review and regulatory oversight of campus research Centers and Institutes at UCR.  Most importantly the Office of Research works closely with UCR faculty and Deans in identifying funding opportunities and facilitating proposal development for major research initiatives, particularly those that span multiple disciplines, departments and institutions.  Details about the Office of the Vice Chancellor and the five areas of responsibility can be viewed at http://or.ucr.edu/VCR/index.aspx.  A current list of UCR’s research centers, including web links to individual centers can be found at http://or.ucr.edu/VCR/Centers.aspx.
